Braille
Lutheran Braille Workers produces Braille Bibles in Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Cantonese, Estonian, French, Indonesian, Kiswahili, Latvian, Malayalam, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese and English Contracted and Un-contracted Braille.
A Grade 2 Bible produced by Lutheran Braille Workers consists of 37 volumes embossed on durable 10x12 quality Braille paper with a production cost of $270 per set. Each Bible takes up 5 feet of shelf space and is lovingly produced by our volunteers. The Bibles are provided free of charge to blind and vision impaired readers throughout the world. In addition to the Bible, LBW also offers a variety of other Christian books and pamphlets in multiple languages.
Growing New Languages
Our goal over the next three years is to have the Bible available in the Hindi, Russian and Tamil languages. Adding these three languages will reach into 16 countries and open the door for approximately 35 million blind or visually impaired individuals to touch for themselves the promises of Jesus.
